Description

The Hornet in ARC Raiders is a flying ARC drone that’s tougher than a Wasp and a big threat in open areas. It patrols outside on most maps and usually flies low so it can target you quickly.

What makes it dangerous is its electric stun shot that it fires after locking on with a red laser. If that hit connects, it can cripple your movement and burn through your shields fast.

The Hornet has armor on the front thrusters, so it resists light hits there, but its rear thrusters are unprotected and take damage easily.

If you can destroy both rear thrusters, the Hornet will lose control and fall out of the sky, often destroying itself.

When you run into a Hornet, don’t just stand still. Watch for its red laser aim and dodge roll or take cover, then target the rear from an angle whenever you can.

Heavy ammo weapons make short work of its armor and help bring it down faster. In groups, Hornets are often paired with Wasps, so try to take the wasps out first so you aren’t overwhelmed.

Players also hunt Hornets for loot drops like ARC Alloy, ARC Powercells, Medium Ammo, Simple Gun Parts, and the Hornet Driver, which is useful for crafting and gear upgrades.
