ARC Raiders could be heading toward trouble after a real player revealed that illegal players may have found a way to access the game.
In 2025, ARC Raiders, developed by Embark Studios, became one of the biggest gaming success stories of the year.
The game ended the year on a high note by winning Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards last December.
When ARC Raiders launched in October 2025, it did not take long for players to start praising the game on social media.
The fast-paced extraction shooter quickly became popular, especially on PC via Steam. According to SteamDB, the game reached a massive 481,966 concurrent players, which is still its highest peak so far.

Even in the last 24 hours, the game pulled in over 319,000 players, showing just how active the community still is.
While exact console player numbers are not available, it is safe to assume they are also very strong. Simply put, players are still having a great time with ARC Raiders.
However, some fans are worried that a familiar problem could start ruining the fun. Sadly, cheaters are a common issue in almost every online multiplayer shooter.
Games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Apex Legends, and Fortnite have all struggled with this problem.
And this is not about small rule bending, but serious cheating that breaks the game.
Cheating in online games is not new. Many longtime players remember facing cheaters as far back as Call of Duty: World at War in 2008.
Back then, players were abusing map glitches, shooting enemies from under the map, and ruining matches.
While that was frustrating, cheating today is far worse. Modern cheats are more advanced, harder to detect, and often sold as part of a money-making business.
Some players pay real money to gain unfair advantages, manipulate leaderboards, or dominate matches.

Like many modern games, ARC Raiders uses Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) to protect its servers. Until now, there have not been many complaints, which suggests the system has been working fairly well. Unfortunately, that may be changing soon.
A Reddit user named SnizelOUT claimed that ARC Raiders has been cracked, allowing pirated copies to play online with legitimate players. They did not explain how it was done, but warned that this could lead to more hackers and RMT spam if the issue is not fixed quickly.
Another user, International-Owl653, warned that this situation could flood ARC Raiders servers with cheaters using disposable accounts.
This would make it harder to control cheating and could seriously hurt the game’s healthy player base. For obvious reasons, no detailed information was shared, as spreading it could make the problem worse.
If you encounter obvious cheaters in ARC Raiders, you should report them immediately through the Embark Security website.
Quick reports from players can help Embark Studios act faster and protect the game.
For now, fans can only hope that this issue is patched soon so ARC Raiders can continue to be the fun and fair multiplayer experience players love.
