Description

The Tick in ARC Raiders is a small, spider-like enemy that you’ll mostly find inside buildings, bunkers, and tight indoor spaces.

Unlike big robot enemies, Ticks aren’t strong or armored — they’re tiny but quick, and their main danger comes from how they jump straight onto your face or body and cling to you.

Once they grab you, they start draining both your health and shields, forcing you to press the interact key to pull them off before they drain too much.

Ticks usually crawl on walls and ceilings, waiting for Raiders to walk by. You can often hear them before you see them, thanks to the faint mechanical skittering sound they make.

Because they have almost no health or armor, most weapons will kill them in one or two hits, and melee attacks can instantly finish them without using any ammo.

Although a single Tick isn’t much of a threat, they often appear in small groups — and if you’re already in a fight with other enemies, a swarm of Ticks can really mess up your positioning or distract you at the worst moment.

When you defeat them, Ticks drop ARC Alloy and Tick Pods, which are useful materials for crafting and upgrading gear in the game.

Quick combat tips: watch corners and ceilings indoors, listen for their movement, shoot them before they leap, and if one does latch on, remove it right away so you don’t take continuous damage.
